Scumbag photo spam marketing technique

Posted by: admin   in Straight Talk

Ok, I dont know how many of you are aware of this but there are some slimy marketers out there. The latest thing I have noticed in facebook is some people incorrectly tagging people in pictures. The problem is those are not pictures of you or my friends rather it is someone trying to drive traffic to their site using false pretenses.

In some ways I feel it is personally deceptive and disgusting. It was just a matter of time before greedy unscrupulous people would find a way to abuse the system. For goodness sake if your product is not good enough to generate a web buzz, what in the world makes you think I will trust your product or brand when you get me there using trickery. Stop using and abusing my friends to sell your crap.

Reality Check : If you have utilised this underhanded means for your product, Slap yourself someone needs to knock some sense into you and it might as well be you. You are a scumbag for violating friendships with your photo tagging marketing spam. Facebook needs to get tough on these creeps abusing a wonderful system.

Although I’m not a Facebook contributor, you are absolutely spot on regarding underhanded marketing. If the product(s) or service(s) are not good enough to stand on their own, why would I trust the company behind them.

It’s amazing what people will do. I had a strange thing happen in Twitter too. I won’t go into details, but one must keep their guard up as much as possible.

Thanks for the warning, Wayne. I haven’t found this, yet. I’ll watch for it, though. I hate spammers!

So far I have managed to stay away from Facebook. I need to investigate all the media, so thanks for the warning.
