Ok I just came across a comment that some legislators are trying to arrange a bailout for a few newspapers now.

Ok so is the government going to get a controlling stake in these? If so does that mean they will control the media content and stories? Does that mean freedom of speech will be limited to only those politically correct commentaries and stories? Oh wait we have that now with some very liberal news media organizations. If they are not able to stay open through ad revenue or readership maybe it is time to let them die or at least maybe report objectively and re-establish news media credibility.

Maybe it was just me but through this election it seriously felt like the media was not objective but were a political tool pushing one party or the other. At least what I saw of Fox News they were not afraid to take on the liberal humanist points of view or some debateable conservative policies.

Reality Check : Maybe instead of propping up these big corporations maybe assist people withsome debt relief. Maybe credit card companies can freeze some high balance cards consumers may have and set a 6% interest rate as opposed to 20-30% interest rate. If people can pay back their debt and not simply only being able to afford the interest thereby propping up these abusive money sharks, the economy would rebound. It is simple free people from debt they will then be able to afford to buy products. Its time for a consumer bailout.

There is another way to debt freedom for people who are not living beyond their means. If you are serious about getting out of debt you owe it to yourself to

Ok I know I am going to get it in the neck for posting this one but evil prevails when good men do nothing.

Click the link to watch the video.

I just watched this clip on the net that was disturbing on a number of levels.

1. The level at which people go to protect personal and professional responsibility.

2. The level at which this is even possible.

3. The fact that the child was not protected by seemingly responsible adults.

What I found so disappointing is that there is a prevailing and underlying attitude that is very destructive. If I don’t know about it it does not exist. The problem with that level of thinking is that someday you will call for help and someone will be in a position to help. It is then you will see them turn away and say please don’t say anymore quite frankly it is above my pay grade.

Moral relativism and political correctness are destroying this nation internally. While the war on terror is an important battle it will mean nothing if we do not value human life and set safeguards to protect it. Here I am not talking about a baby I am talking about our children.

When nothing but yourself is important to you the sacrifices of others mean nothing to you. Is the American conscience so seared that apathy and irreverence to the preciousness of every life, is relegated way below the issue of global warming in importance.

Here is my thinking. What is the point of saving the planet for our children when we treat our children worse and with less importance than we treat the planet.

If taxpayers money is being used to find these abominations (yes I do feel that strongly about it) then they need to be held accountable. We cannot be like Pontious Pilate and say I wash my hands of this matter because we will like the great tragedy of Shakespeare’s Macbeth. We will find ourselves crying out damn spot, out. We will find that the blood stain cannot be washed from our conscience. It will haunt us and finally bring about the destruction of everything we hold dear including ourselves. What would you do if that was your daughter?

If you don’t think this is that important take a look at the state of Zimbabwe. It is precisely that level of thinking that led to the current situation where normal democratic principals are no longer upheld by the party in power.

Reality Check : You have been warned America.

Ok is it just me or does everyone hate the fact that we are held ransom by credit card companies. Granted we got ourselves into this debt but to increase percentages just tightens the noose around families struggling to make their payments thus fueling more of the foreclosure market. These companies also share a portion of the responsibility by offering easy money to struggling people. Maybe decreasing credit limits would work better than increasing interest rates. Increasing interest rates is more profiteering on big business part.

Reality Check : I am not against making a profit but profiteering needs to be stamped out of the economy if anything is going to improve. Greed hurts everyone.

Scumbag photo spam marketing technique

   Posted by: admin Tags: , , ,

Ok, I dont know how many of you are aware of this but there are some slimy marketers out there. The latest thing I have noticed in facebook is some people incorrectly tagging people in pictures. The problem is those are not pictures of you or my friends rather it is someone trying to drive traffic to their site using false pretenses.

In some ways I feel it is personally deceptive and disgusting. It was just a matter of time before greedy unscrupulous people would find a way to abuse the system. For goodness sake if your product is not good enough to generate a web buzz, what in the world makes you think I will trust your product or brand when you get me there using trickery. Stop using and abusing my friends to sell your crap.

Reality Check : If you have utilised this underhanded means for your product, Slap yourself someone needs to knock some sense into you and it might as well be you. You are a scumbag for violating friendships with your photo tagging marketing spam. Facebook needs to get tough on these creeps abusing a wonderful system.

Ok, this bugs me.

AT&T tests limits on subscribers’ Web use

I am not in favor of limiting internet usage caps. With the advent of more people using the web to watch different media streams and the emergance of more and more home based businesses capping usage will only hamper the development of such technologies.

Ok I dont use my web for file sharing and the likes but the caps they are talking about are ridiculously low. Comcast at least gives a fair amount of bandwidth usage but ATT seems to want to squeeze its customers for every cent they can. While I agree there are some that abuse the system at least make the caps something that will affect them and not your everyday household user. The limits are so small that customers will now have to guage how many movies they stream from the internet or from sites such as netflix.

While people may say that 20 gig a month is alot now in the next few years with the emrgent technologies coming on the market, most sites going for media rich content and the devlopment of web based office productivity suites I feel we will soon see that the big communication giants fleesing our pockets.

This is going to be a big cash cow for the corporate media giants. Think of it if a company has 4 000 000 consumers and the average consumer goes over their bandwidth allocation by 5 gigs lets say, that is an extra $20 000 000 for the company at ATT proposed $1.00 extra per gig. Good business profiteering.

Maybe they should consider upgrading the network capacity rather than limiting usage, maybe reinvest that money in building better infrastructure to handle the new information demands of the 21st Century.

Reality Check : Restrictions slow down or in some cases kill progress, and to those users abusing the current system stop it!!!

What are the downsides of being out of debt? None that I can think of.

Well it really has surprised me how skeptical people are. It really seems like people are so afraid to hope. I wonder if it is a cultural thing? Most people I have spoken to with regards finances seem to be so guarded.

At what point do we let down our guard and be willing to explore new options or ways of doing things. It seems that all I hear is people complaining about how much debt they are in yet there seems to be a disconnect with the discomfort of the position and the point of action where change takes place.

You probably have all heard the quote that insanity is doing the same thing over and over each time expecting different results.

To achieve different results we need to change our paradigms and apply concrete action. If we cannot explore alternative options out of an irrational fear of being deceived, we then loose our ability to be creative and find solutions to our current problems.

If we are unwilling to pay attention to new information we will never be able to change our course and ultimately the results we are experiencing.

United First Financial has a solid record of achieving and exceeding clients expectations. In two years alone they have helped clients pay down over $153 000 000 in principal debt.

Don’t you owe it to yourself to explore a proven system of debt elimination.

In looking on the web I have seen all the naysayers and frankly some downright arrogant people who by their comments have not done research but rather made some incorrect assumptions. None of them own the product and so are speaking with very little credibility. Some are trying to sell something different or just want to prove their so called intellectual prowess and as such care for no-one but themselves.

Let me say this very clearly. Experience will always win over theory, and every theory is one experience away from being changed.

Bias

   Posted by: admin Tags: ,

Am I free from bias? No. I am just tired of hearing all the bickering and he said she said. I am tired of the destructive negative campaigning if only that much energy could be put into finding viable solutions to the current problems in the country we would be a lighthouse for the world.

Excellence should be expected from all citizens and residents in this country. It is in being excellent that we can be proud of what we accomplish. We would not need to blame shift but would be accountable for our actions.

It is time to change the culture of America from the current it is my right to get, get, get to what can I give, how can I improve the lives of my family, my community and my country.

Reality Check – Freedom should never be seperated from responsibility. People come first not profit!!! Greed always robs honor and dignity and causes harm to everyone

Vice President Debate

   Posted by: admin Tags: ,

Well I thought the VP debate was interesting to watch. I made the comment to my wife that it sometimes feels like I am sitting in a Job Interview. Oh wait isn’t that what it is supposed to be?

Actually my comment is not really directed towards the debate but more to the media spin filter. I like the fact that the debate is contested without commentary from the so called experts. I am totally disgusted at the lack of partiality shown by the major broadcasters particularly ABC. Frankly I find it pompous and arrogant of them, the way they phrase questions in a way that casts doubt over Palin and exemplifies the strengths of Biden. The way they filter information in their commentaries is so blatently obvious. If they were truley classy reporters they would report the facts, free from their interpretation based upon their predisposed paradigms and world views.

Ok case in point Catie’s first comments were, “Well everyone was waiting to see how the political newcomer would do tonight and perhaps the headline is governer Sarah Palin did not embarrass herself or her running mate as some Republicans might have feared and some Democrates might have hoped.”

Reality Check -

1. Political Newcomer – Well maybe it is just me or maybe Alaska too but one does not get to become governor and be a Political Newcomer.

2. Did not embarrass herself – Ok why the negative expectation. Her History seems very good. I think it would be nice if they would treat the political candidates with the same level of enthusiasm and respect.

3. some Republicans might have feared and some Democrates might have hoped – I am not even going to comment on this.
P.S – Ironic the way the media all tout Bidens’ history of working in Washington and yet the big call of the democratic party is Change. Ironic how the newface in Washington who has an actual record of leadership and who wants to bring change is called inexperienced and a potential embarressment.

Let me make it clear. I wanted to put his link up on my website to be fair to you all just to have a look at what he says. It is the first time I went to his website and the first page I was greeted with was a donate now page. Ok to me that speaks volumes about the policies of the party and the man. The first thing I am greeted with is a request for a handout. Wow. Do not tell me anything about your cause just go for my money.

I honor the man as a leader but i do not agree with his policies.

At what point did we turn this beautiful country into a socialist state. Socialist states have never worked. Take Zimbabwe for example. Highest inflation on record, Mass unemployment, corruption and nepotism. All of these are the consequences of a government who felt they could do better than the people and now it abuses the people. What once was the breadbasket of Africa is now the basket case of Africa.

It is time to stop punishing people who succeed by increasing taxes. Encourage responsible spending by the wealthy. That will create jobs and give men and women the opportunity to work and be proud of providing for their families and doing something with excellence. Excellence should be rewarded. With reward comes responsibility.

Its also time to stop profiteering by big business. I am not opposed to making a profit but there is something wrong when companies make billions in profits year after year and the average person is put in a place of struggling just to survive. Greed should never be tolerated. Maybe companies that make over a certain percentage in yearly profit should be forced to reinvest that profit back into the communities. Hey how about a reduction in prices sometime? Granted I am shooting from the hip right now but cant we get more creative at providing solutions for families so that they too can succeed and not have the hard working folk slave away while guys at the top get a practical free ride and act like demigods.

Reality check – Socialist States do not work. What costs you nothing means nothing. What you have invested nothing of yourself you will not look after and ensure its success.

Moral concience

Moral Conscience

Following on from yesterdays blog, I have a question relating to our moral conscience. If we in this media generation have spent more time in front of television and being fed a version of reality which often times does not line up with experience. How much can we trust our moral conscience when the majority of young people don’t believe in any absolutes. If truth is relative to the believer then how can I trust that my neighbor, politician or any leader has our best interest at heart.

The courts don’t define truth they just interpret it based on the facts or lack of facts. The worship of man and his intellect has led us down a path of moral decay. Our moral conscious cannot be trusted unless it is based on a universal truth that is greater than us or our interpretation of it. Corporately we now value the life of seals or dogs more than the life of our fellow man. We throw tons of money into environmental causes yet we let our neighbor struggle to feed his starving family. We abort thousands of babies a day yet do not shed a tear, but tear men apart as inhumane for killing an animal.

Man and his material needs will never give us the moral compass we need. Only God.

The American system of government was founded by men with a high regard for the divine. The bible says

“For the LORD is our judge, the LORD is our lawgiver, the LORD is our King; it is He who will save us” (Isaiah 33:22). Do you see the three branches of the perfect government ruled by God. The legislative, judicial and executive form of human government is intended to be a reflection of the divine and as such have its sources directly connected to the divine in order for it to be effective.

For America to work as she was designed she needs to corporately connect back to the creator and his truth. Then she will once again rise in prosperity under the mighty hand of the Almighty.

Reality Check : If people believe that voting their moral conscience will work then make sure your moral conscience is connected and trained by the divine creator and not by the intellect of man.
